Our Custom Process

5 Easy steps
Pick & Book

Pick the Package you would like and any add-ons. We will send you the invoice, and share our available dates so you can book the Start Date for your cover.

brief us

Provide us with a complete synopsis of your book, specific themes/symbols, & genres. Then, tell us about your vision of color and/or provide inspiraitonal photos for our project board. Alternatively, you can see what we come up with.

design process

We take the information you provide us and start working on the design. We'll deliver a mock-up concept, usually within the same business day or within 24 hours. 

revision 

Once the concept is sent to you, we welcome your feedback on the layout.  Adjustments will be made according to feedback. You may have an opportunity for further revisions before the finalization process, depending on the package purchased.

finalize

Once the revisions are done and the adjustments made, the final prodcut files will be sent. If add-ons are purchased, such as the print cover, this may require an extra 24 hours. During the finalization stage, no adjustments/changes are allowed. 

Learn More About What These Terms Mean: 

Stock Images: We use stock images from  one or more of the following sites: Envato Elements, Deposit Photos, Adobe Stock Images, Shutterstock, iStock, and/or Period Images. These include a Standard License that  allows for the reproduction of up to 500,000 copies of the asset in all media. Please visit the websites for more information on these standard licenses.

 

Mock-Up Concept: After a short briefing on the custom cover and expectations, the designers will draw up one mock-up concept. This is a non-finalized cover that places elements, characters, text, in an artistic manner. 

 

Revisions to the Concept: Once the concept is sent over, the client can opt to alter the layout of the concept, meaning chaning the placement of the main characters, or the font, 

 

Character: These includes the main focus of the cover. This can be an animal, object, or person.

 

Major & Minor Revisions: These are changes to the items sent. Please keep in mind the # of revisions your packages includes, as additional imrevisions will cost more.

 

Final Files: We do not, under any circumstances, provide our work PSD file. The client will receive a PDF/1x file (300 dpi) flattened, and a JPEG file. 


Print Cover: The print cover is also known as the cover for the paperback or hardcover. This includes the same e-cover, a spine, and a back cover.

 

Simple Print Cover Add-On:  Uses the  same color scheme and/or background images as the front e-cover and the spine contains is standard.  No revisions. 

 

Detailed Print Cover Add-On: This option includes additional stock images and can have a different concept as the front. It's for the authors who want something non-traditional. For example: the heroes in the front, the villain in the back. Other options include, adding world elements to the back that aren't in the front, or showcasing the author as well. It may include 1 additional character, element, and upto 2 additional stock photos.

Loyalty Discount: Clients who book, pay for, and complete a cover project with B6 Design Studio within 90 days of their previous booking are eligible for a 20% discount on the new cover. This discount applies to Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 Custom Packages and add/ons. It does not apply to Premade designs or semi-upgrades. The discount is only applicable if the initial cover project has been fully completed before the new booking is made. This offer cannot be combined with any other discounts or promotions.  Should the client cancel the new booking or any subsequent project eligible for the Loyalty Discount, the discount will no longer apply, and the full, non-discounted rate will be charged for any remaining services or work. 

 

Series Discount: Clients booking three or more covers as part of a series will be eligible for a discounted rate of 15–25% (depending on the number of covers). To qualify, all covers must be booked simultaneously, and the project must be clearly identified as a series at the time of booking. The discount rate and specific terms will vary depending on the selected package tier (Tier 1, 2, or 3 Custom Packages). The discounted rate applies exclusively to Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 Custom Packages and does not include Premade designs or additional add-ons. This discount cannot be combined with any other offers or promotions. Should the client cancel any covers in the series, the discount will no longer apply, and the full, non-discounted rate will be charged for the remaining covers.

 

Grand Opening Discount: To celebrate the launch of B6 Design Studio, we are offering a 10% discount on all Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 Custom Packages. This limited-time offer applies to new bookings made within the first 30 days following the studio's grand opening. The discount does not apply to Premade designs, add-ons, or other services and cannot be combined with any other discounts or promotions. Clients must book, pay for, and confirm their projects during the promotional period to qualify for this offer.
